We were so excited to have a visit from Mike from World of Owls today. He brought three owls with him - a barn owl called Bogie, an eagle owl called Bowie and a very rare black barn owl called Tianna.
We learned that you can tell when in the day an owl is active according to the colour of its eyes. If its eyes are yellow like the sun it comes out in daytime. If its eyes are black it comes out at night.
The owls were very beautiful and we were very gentle when we touched them. Mrs Speers got to have one sit on her shoulder!
