P6/7 Residential Day 2
This morning, the children definitely had one amazing breakfast which set them up for their fun fuelled second day at Woodhall House. The children had the choice of cereal, porridge, boiled eggs and toast for their breakfast. A few sleepy heads needed a little jolt of coffee too!
After breakfast, the children split into two groups. One group started with archery testing their Robin Hood-esque skills while the other group became daredevils on the high beams and the ‘leap of faith’.
Everyone had a fantastic morning and persevered no matter how fearful they might have been at first.
Once the bows were put away and feet were firmly planted back on the ground, we enjoyed a bbq lunch of burgers and sausages.
Finally with bellies full, we took to the water with canoeing down the canal. The children impressed all the adults with their rowing and navigation capabilities. There were definitely no icebergs or Titanic re-enactments much to Mrs Henderson and Mr Patterson’s relief.
In the evening, we played a few team games using sweets, straws and our problem solving skills. Then, we settled down to a little feast in front of the TV for our movie night watching Home Alone.
