Goldilocks and the Three Bears
21st Oct 2024
Today in Numeracy we based our learning around our story of the week ‘Goldilocks and the Three Bears’.
We were learning about Weight. We worked very hard to understand and use our key words; heavy, light, heavier, lighter. We used a pan balance to compare and talk about the weight of two objects by using our problem-solving skills to weigh the correct amount of porridge to make each side balance. For example, Daddy bear wanted enough porridge to balance 3 bears.
We also made a repeating pattern necklace for our teddy bears and we had to problem solve to make the right size of necklace for the correct size of bear - small, medium or big bear.
