In cookery we made cupcakes. We had to do lots of careful measuring of our ingredients. We used a hand whisk to mix our ingredients and noticed the mixture changed from white to yellow when we added our butter and egg. We took turns in mixing the batter, it was tricky at first but got easier. It was a bit messy putting the batter into the buncases. Afterward we washed the dishes. Mrs Speers put the buns in the oven while we were in the playroom. We each had a bun after lunch and took some home. We gave our two leftover buns to Mr McCullough and Miss Robinson.
